Donner Lake

The Donner Lake neighborhood is a unique area immediately surrounding Donner Lake. There are multiple tracts in the area. Some are very old summer cabins. Some of the original old time cabins have been replaced by large modern structures and some have been updated and remodeled to accommodate winter use while still keeping the charm of yesteryear.

Most areas here qualify to join the West End homeowners beach. This is a popular amenity and there is sometimes a waiting list for new members to join.

Access to the lake, trails and the Donner State Park make this an incredibly popular area. In the winter when old Hwy 40 is open it is a very quick trip up to Sugar Bowl for world class skiing!
